Our question this week comes Dianne Young

I want to try raw edge applique over a previously constructed quilt top - does anyone have suggestions for a good instructional book to use? Is it necessary to add a stabilizer under the top when I am sewing the applique on to the top?

I haven't seen any books on the subject, nor do I think that a stabilizer is necessary as the top will act as one,. My advice is practise on a piece similarly constructed as the top and go for it!
