Question of the Week

Question for the week of December 10, 2001:

Our question this week comes from Sue T

What quilting items are your wish list to Santa this year?

Note: I know I ask this question every year, but it's fun to see what new things people are looking for - Sue T

Goldie :
Dazor magnifying light
the eyes are aging fast!!
Nid :
A new sewing machine
Sue :
Fabric, fabric and more fabric.. .
Diana :
A tool that cuts circles in fabric. Scissors aren't that accurate and hurt your hand after cutting a few, and those circle cutters with the exacto blade don't work.
Elena :
A really good pair of sewing scissors that no one steals to use for other things.
Dorothy :
I want the Clover Mini iron and cover, as I want to try Celetic patterns and some stainedglass patterns I have found, too.
PM :
I would like the TIME, TIME, TIME, TIME to finish what I have going now, so I start some other cool stuff.
LM :
I'd like a large board for cutting on with my rotary cutter. When I make big quilts, it's hard using the small kinds. Also I'd like some new blades for my cutter.
Charlotte :

Nora :
I want my harvest table back in my room so I can spread out my work. My husband has it in the dining room for the big Christmas buffet we are having for all the family.
Mary :
I would love templates for some applique cherubs, the kind you can move the arms, and legs....so you can pose them in different positions.
I made my grandchildren an heirloom Christening gown with angels embroidered on the bodice, and think that an angel quilt would be a good thing to add.
I can almost see what I want, but am no good at drawing.
kathy :
I am looking for a quilt pattern called "Trip Around the World".
Marion :
Time, time, and more time!
Ami :
cutting matt (large and smaller one to take to classes). Fabric-any and all

I just want holiday fabric. Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, etc. So I make quilts to decorate my house every holiday.

A straight stich throat plate for my elna, Carol Doak's Foundation Factory, and of course, fabric, fabric, fabric!!!
Lila-Ann :
I would like a quilting tool I saw on a quilting show that helps make even stitches by manipulating the needle from beneath the quilt. I think it was referred to as "Aunt Bessie" and is shaped like a rooftop.
Louise :
I need new scissors, a new cutting board, and lots of needle threaders--our cats keep stealing them!
stacey :
Gift Certificate for my favorite quilting store. That way I can go and pick out what I want. Which would be fabric (of course), an "Aunt Becky," and a quilting frame.
Julie :
A Big Board for my ironing board so I can press all that fabric in my stash!
anita :
lots of batting, lots of time to work on the projects I have in my head and sewing room, also an amoir to store my finished quilts when they aren't in use or on display.
