What household sewing machine do you recommend for free motion quilting?

Bernina, Bernina, Bernina - There's no machine better - none!!!

I have a Pfaff 6270 and just love it, but you can use any machine that lowers the feed dogs and has a darning foot. Just practice, practice and practice some more and you'll get the hang of it.
