Question of the Week

Question for the week of June 12, 2000:

Our question this week comes from Pat Folsom and Barbara Berkery:

Is there a source that can help you locate out of date books, or a listing where out of date books can be found?

Sue :
There are two great sources on the web:

www.missingfabrics.com has a page to list books or tools you seek.

http://pages.ebay.com offers used books at auction. Just click on search by title for your book.

Hope this helps.

Louise :
Most large public libraries had out-of-print books in their collections.
Pat :
Spelling Correction Barnes and Noble
Pat Alnes :
I've had luck with finding an older out of print book through Barns and Nobles on their website------www.bn.com
Natasha :
Biblioquest International
7notrump@netscope.net :
www.Amazon.com makes every effort to locate out of date books - sometimes successful, sometimes not.
Donna, LEH,NJ :
hamiltonbook.com/search.html (no www.)You can look up by Auther, Title or Description and only $3.00 shipping no matter how many books you order. Prices are VERY good too.
Marion :
try www.bibliofind.com. Good luck!
Charlene, New Jersey :
There are a number of site on the internet to search for books: www.booksearch.com and www.bookfinder.com are two of many. I do not think either charges a fee.
Elena, Net Addict :
Check out "www.abebooks.com". It is a collection of used booksellers with an online searchable index. I don't know if they have quilt books, specificially, but I know they speciallized in out-of-print books.

Amina Smith - Abu Dhabi :
Try Batsford Books in the UK
