Question of the Week

Question for the week of June 16, 1997:

Our question this week comes from Karen Syler

I am looking for the "ultimate" quilting needle. What is your favorite?

Deb :
Sharp ones!!! (It's late...forgive me!)

Pam Macdougall :
Piecemaker
Claudette :
I found some needles at the Houston Quilt show several years ago and I love them. They are supplied by Jean S. Lyle in Quincy, IL. They sell for $2.00 for a dozen in a wooden needle holder. Sorry I don't have the phone number with me
Beverlt Forst :
I'm satisfied with Piecemakers Betweens/Quilting Needles. I generally keep size 10 and 12 in my pin cushion.
Jackie :
I like #10 betweens/quilters . If I use anything smaller they break to easily. Try many and use what fits your fingers and makes your stitches the way you like them.
Happy Quilting Quilters Rule haha
Sue Conyers :
My favorite needle is one I just discovered last September. It is a Straw Needle No. 8 or 9. Jeanna Kimball taught a class using this long "crowbar" for quilting and I have gotten my stitiches to even out and can make them smaller!
Jamie Downs :
I have found that John James needles are
the best. Others that I have tried did
not glide throught the fabric as well as
these needles do.

JCranecnr@aol.com :
I like #10 betweens
Joanne :
I like #10 betweens
Joanne :
