HI Everyone, 

WOw, go away for a few days & everything slows way down.  Will have all the digest caught up by tomorrow.  Hope we can get more talk going on.  Didn't get any quilting done on my trip, but I did get 3 slip covers done so I guess that counts for something

Now, go quilt something

Subject: feather weight

Guess I was too late for the F.W. machine. Next time I'll know better. It was 
a couple mos ago that I saw it and didn't give it thought at the time. When I 
called this A.M. they don't have one but said they do sometimes get the new 
ones in. But there is a waiting list. He said the new ones have metal gears " 
of a sort"  ( whatever that means) but are made in China.  I'll not make that 
mistake again.

Subject: "Something for Everyone" Quilts

Further on people who are too free with their criticism:  I was taught that when a person is overly critical of another's work it's fair to tell them it's a "something for everyone" quilt.  Ninety-five percent of it is for folks who can see and appreciate the beauty of the effort and the joy and love that's stitched into it, and five percent is for those who are only able to enjoy pointing out other folks' mistakes.  Of course, you don't have to TELL them you're glad they found something they like -- just think about it and you may laugh instead of snarling.
