Hi there!

It's me that has been on a doll-sewing binge the past few months.

Putting the dolls in the washing machine is perfectly reasonable - I did my
Mother's Day gang that way. Put each doll in a separate inside-out pillow
case and use an elastic band to close the case. This gives the face
protection from all the banging about. Use regular laundry detergent. The
instructions I was following then said to put them in the dryer for about 25
minutes still in the pillowcases, and preferably with a couple of bath
towels for extra cushioning. Take them out of the cases let them air dry
the rest of the way. The best way to comb out long hair on the girls is to
use a wide-tined hair pick. Trim off hair fuzzies carefully with a small
pair of scissors.

I started with two patterns that I had bought way back when, but all of the
others I have been using were picked up on eBay. Use "cabbage patch
pattern*" as your search criteria and you'll get pretty much everything
available.

This week I'm hoping to finish my first shirt for me and maybe work on some
quilt tops. After three straight days working in the quilting shop and
staying late Friday night to take a hand quilting class my head is buzzing
with fabric thoughts :-) I do have two more CPK patterns that should be
coming in the mail this week though, so they may call to me too when they
arrive LOL.

Kelly.
