Sue, Congratulations on those fabulous costumes! It sure looks like every
one of the kids really enjoyed wearing them. How you every got them all
done is beyond me............A lot of sewing. Nothing like a Bernina!

Just took a few minutes to look at the costumes...Sue, you have my respect!
Wow! Just awesome! I can see why the laundry and the dirty floors took a
back seat to your sewing! Glad to hear you were 'recognized' with the
flowers and the gift certificate after the production...you deserve it! (So
does your Bernina! *G*)

I've used Bubble Jet Set. I use it to make labels for my clothes, and images
for wearable art. Washes and dries great!

Sewing wise, I am trying to finnish a red white and blue kitchen set
for a friend, all quilted. The table cloth is done, need a couple of
runners, and chair pillows and we'll be done.

Thank You!
I hunted for layette patterns yesterday and found almost
nothing. I bought RTW garments and wasn't happy to do so
even though they were on sale. Everything was already
decorated and I want "blanks" so I can do it. I did notice
that a lot of the decorations and embellishments were done
as patches and then stitched to the garments to protect the
baby's skin. Interesting!
Thank you again!

As for sewing, I've been hunting things up to embroidery and
digitize. One of the things I discovered was that I had a
rather large storehouse of transfers and goodies tucked away
from the 1980's when I was doing a lot of freehand machine
emb. or thread painting. So, they've come out have been
added to the pile of stuff I'll work through.

I think digitizing is fun.

Aloha

I'm searching for sewing patterns (no knitting) for small doggies (toys).
I'm looking for little shirts, kerchiefs, and accessories. Does anyone know
of a source? I have one I could take apart, but I'd rather not. I plan to
use velcro so there will be no snaps or buttons to chew off.

Sue, your costumes are FABULOUS! Was that non-stop sewing for 6 weeks?

This weekend I'm hoping to embroider with all the new designs I've bought &
downloaded over the last month. Some with need converted into the correct
format for me. Then I'll have to make them into a quilt or pillow. I may get
a little time each night this week to begin, but tonight is our big guild
meeting.

Has anyone used the water soluble hospital laundry bags as stabilizer? I'm
wondering if they dissolve as easily as the ones sold specifically for
sewing.

Hi Hancey,
My husband purchased the 165E for my birthday in March. I love everything
about it. Although I have a ton of things to learn about it. Since March,
I have made 2 quilts and machine quilted them with the 165E. I have yet to
experience the embroidery module part of it. Mostly because my kids keep
getting sick every time I have a sewing lesson set up with my dealer where
the machine was purchased. The stitches are wonderful and I am totally
enjoying using this machine and learning about it.
