Liz,

These two links should be of some help to you. The first includes a free
pattern. If the second is too long and doesn't work when you click on it,
copy and paste it instead.

Looks like I will have to do a little more shopping for fabric. Most of
what I picked out is flowers with back background. I think I need some more
lighter background to work the top of the quilt, giving the feeling of sky.
Thank you Donna!

Please make sure your florals are densely printed on the fabric. You do not
want too much background showing. You also want to shop for some transition
fabrics to get you from one area to another.

Maria, I just went through this a few weeks ago - so NO there are no
accessible archives for BFC. However, what people did let me know is that
there are archives from the old 1630 list on quiltropolis
at:ftp://ftp.quiltropolis.com/1630/ also
http://www.quiltropolis.net/maillists/maillistsdetail.asp?catid=Bernina
Never got an answer from the list moderator about the wording on the actual
BFC page that says archives are sometimes available. This list is run by an
individual and not the same kind of software as say the yahoo lists so it
must be difficult to maintain. HTH Marygabrielle

Someone was looking for pink zebra stripe a while back and today while
browsing I ran across some in faux fur if you are still looking. At
www.equilter.com you can browse or put in a search for Faux Fur- Pink Zebra Stripe, 58" wide, $13.95 yd, product ID is FAFZBRPI. These people have been great to shop with. Not only are they nice, but they ship what I need quickly, wrapped nicely. That matters since my UPS man throws things onto our porch when one of our dogs is in a particularly bad mood and the man doesn't want to get out.

Subject: Amazing Designs

Mary,
I've been using Amazing Designs Design Packs which are
either floppies or CD Roms and the Design Cards with my
Artista software and Bernina Deco from the first. I use a
Magic Box to convert them or move them onto the design
card. I've had no problems with any of it.
Let me offer some additional information. Embroidery Direct
here in Richardson, Texas serves as their major distributor
for at least this part of the country and also all the way
to Florida. I joined their Club Ed for I believe it was
$35.00 per year. I get discounts off design packs, design
cards, and other things including stabilizers, Sulky
Threads, etc. Their service is outstanding and they have
both a web site and an 800 number. For example: if I
purchase 3 design cards the first one is full price, the
second is discounted and the third one is discounted even
more. It's well worth the cost for the savings and also for
the bulletin they send out at regular intervals with all
sorts of information included.

Here's their 800 # 800 239 4348
Here's their Web Page: www.embroiderydirect.com

Robert Hurd is the owner, but all the women who work there
are great gals and also will coach you through any help you
need. Bob is a neat guy and also a real gent.

They also carry DeeGee's Designs.

Just the information in the bulletins are worth the cost
alone.

Check them out!

Colleen
