I'm testing to see if I can now post to the BFC. For a while there all
my messages were being bounced.

To make this also sewing related, I was unable to find a waterproof
mattress cover for my daughter-in-law's cradle mattress. So I bought a
crib sized one and cut it down to size, reattaching the the thin fabric
with the elastic edging that holds the mattress cover taut. I was having

trouble sewing it because one side of the mattress cover was thin vinyl,

but then I tried using the walking foot and that worked like a charm.

Mary.
I have seen the waterproof padding by the yard at Hancock's and Joanns as
well as our independent fabric stores. It is thin and washable rubber
padding that is flannel covered. You can also do a search for flannel
covered water proof padding on:
http://www.fabrics.net/swatch/wantform.htm This site will give you retail and online sources when you do a fabric search. Hope this helps in the
future. Marygabrielle

Subject: San Francisco Bay Area quilt/fabric stores

I will be in the Bay area for a week in June. If I can keep my 14-year old
son occupied, I'm going to get to a few fabric/quilt stores. Besides Britex
Fabrics, any recommendations?
