Just as I was delighting in the return of my less than one year old Bernina
QE 153 I have discovered that the stitches are all jumbled up. I now have 38
stitches on it instead on 28, the numbers on the screen don't correlate with
the stitches and the buttonhole just isn't a buttonhole. I've mailed the
"dealer" in HK who replaced the board and also Bernina HQ in Switzerland.

I wonder if they have replaced the board with the wrong model? It's only the
CPS stitches which are wrong. The basic ones 1-8 behave perfectly.

I remember some members had had their model replaced by Bernina when the
board went very soon after purchase. I've requested this from Bernina. I
wonder what they'll say.

Does it sound like the wrong board to anyone?

Grrrrrrrr. I was so happy to have it back too. It's just what we would call
a Friday machine I think.

Best wishes,

buttonhole-less and bewildered Brenda in Hong Kong

I am so sorry that you are still having trouble with your machine. I know
this sounds rude, but I think it is time to get very assertive with Bernina,
and the dealer you purchased it from. They MUST stand behind their
machines, especially for the price we have to pay for them. I wouldn't
think they would want any bad publicity, especially if it would hurt the
dealership. I would think the dealer would want to get this cleared up.
You have been ever so much more patient than I could have been. Have you
been documenting the time and cost that you have accumulated in this past
year. I think it is time to play 'hard-ball' and demand a new machine.
It's just my opinion, but I just think that you have had a brand new
machine, and hardly got to sew on it for a year. I know it is none of my
business, but, I just had to say that. Good Luck, and I hope you can be
sewing soon.-----Marilyn------

Subject: tax season over :-)

Hi all,

Well it's official! Canadian tax season was officially over last night at
midnight :-) Sure I have a couple of stragglers, and I am revving up my
campaign to get new clients, but guess what?

This afternoon I get to *finally* rinse out all the hand-dyed fabric from my
class on Saturday AND tomorrow my boss (me! LOL) is letting me sew *all* day
:-) (Unless I need to go shopping for stuff, like dye or fabric or trim,
but it is supposed to rain )

Look for more frequent wordy updates coming your way soon...

Kelly.

Can anyone tell me where I can find some Biblical designs for free? A friend
would like to get a couple.
TIA, Bernice
