Sharon,
I bought the circular attachment for my 1630 and it was around $30. Many
people just use an upside down thumbtack taped to the bed of their machine
the distance from the needle that they want the radius of the circle to be,
then put the fabric on the thumb tack and sew the circle. It has to be
anchored pretty good to withstand the drag of the fabric as you stitch.

The Debra Wagner book I was referring to regarding pintuck feet & cording
next to the bindings is

Traditional Quilts, Today's Techniques
Chilton Book Co; ISBN: 0801986605; (April 1997)

it is now out of print. Good Luck!

the
complete accurate title and publisher so I may search for it.

For some of the older machines that don't have polarized plugs, you can
stop the tingling/shocking by flipping the plug over in the outlet. An
electrician told me that, and it made a huge difference with my 1940's
Singer.

Has anyone used the quilting software for the artista program (#531) to
actually quilt on a quilt...
Can you sew this with a quilt stitch??? or does the machine set
automatically?? Are these too small to use on a regular quilt..because
you can't embroider a 12 x 12 square...

Please advise!
