A Comprehensive One-Day Workshop
Gain new skills and build your confidence under the guidance
of a machine quilter with 10 years experience.
Here is what you will learn:
- Understand you machine -We'll discuss the different
manufactures of quilting machines and how to adapt what
you learn to your machine.
- Quilt set-up - The initial 'ground work' that is so
important.
- Basics of overall Pattern Quilting, Channeling and Separate
Border Designs.
- Designing patterns to compliment the quilt, Insets and Meandering.
- Tip on suppliers of batting, thread and fabric.
- Advertising - What kind of market do you want to target.
- Setting up a simple bookkeeping system.
The class will be conducted informally and you may ask questions
that occur to you at any point in the workshop. Limit 4 students
per class.
The fee is due prior to the class. It includes workshop instructions,
hands-on-quilting, coffee breaks and lunch.
