Question of the Week

Question for the week of August 18, 2003:

Our question this week comes Bobbie:

I love to paint and I love to quilt, I was wondering what kind of paint would work best for a quilting project?

Pat :
Be sure to use paints made for fabric. You can use acrylics if you mix them with a textile medium. Fabric dyes can also be used with a paintbrush. Fabric markers are also a wonderful way of adding colour. I use pigma pens for my quilt labels.

caroline :
find a book about using crayola crayons, and have your young friends draw pictures
Marion :
One to try is fabric dyes. I took a class from Hollis Chatelain. Here is her website:

Have fun!
