Our guild began in 1983 with a group of quilters gathering in each other's homes to work on their projects and share ideas. The group continued to grow and moved to other quarters to meet the needs of the group at the time. We now meet at the Hal Rogers Centre.
Sagebrush Quilters' Guild has an open membership (between 50 and 60 members at present). The membership year begins in September of each year and ends in June. Annual fees are $25.00.
The group meets every second and fourth Monday at 7:30 pm. Coffee and goodies are served each meeting. Pot Luck dinners are held at Christmas and again at the wind up meeting in June.
Members are given a variety of activities to get involved in such as community projects, workshops, demonstrations, lectures, block lotteries, raffle quilts and of course, show and tell. Newsletters are sent out to all members 5 times a year.
An annual retreat weekend is held each fall at the Sorrento Centre.
