Artist's Statement

It never occurred to me to use a medium other than fiber; it's warmth and softness drew me in and it's diversity gives me unlimited possibilities and inspiration.

My work is sometimes spontaneous and unplanned and other times quite structured and deliberate. I am in a constant state of evolution and greatly influenced by the world around me and events in my life. We are all the sum of our parts and quiltmaking gives me a comfortable means of expressing some of my inner self and offers me the opportunity to explore areas that it would be easier to ignore.
